Authorities in Nevada have identified a man whose remains were discovered inside a metal barrel at Lake Mead in May 2022, marking a major development in a homicide investigation that remained unresolved for more than four years.
Boaters discovered the barrel near Hemenway Harbor on May 1, 2022, when unusually low water levels exposed areas that had previously been submerged. Investigators determined that the victim had died from a gunshot wound and ruled the death a homicide.
