Grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, was found not guilty by a federal jury in Los Angeles in a high-profile murder-for-hire case involving an alleged plot targeting fellow rapper Quando Rondo.

Prosecutors alleged that Durk helped orchestrate the 2022 attack as retaliation connected to the 2020 killing of his close friend and fellow rapper King Von. The Los Angeles shooting instead resulted in the death of Rondoโ€™s cousin, 24-year-old Saviayโ€™a Robinson.

After about three days of deliberations, jurors acquitted Durk of the major charges, including conspiracy, stalking resulting in death and murder-for-hire offenses. His defense argued that cooperating witnesses had credibility problems and that Durkโ€™s former assistant could have acted independently.

The verdict does not mean Durk is being released immediately. He remains in federal custody because he faces a separate racketeering case, with another trial scheduled for October 5, 2026.

Two co-defendants, Deandre Wilson and David Lindsey, were also acquitted of the murder-for-hire charges but were convicted on separate stalking-related counts.

The case attracted major attention throughout the trial, with celebrities including Ye and Machine Gun Kelly appearing among supporters at the Los Angeles courthouse. Fans also gathered outside following the verdict.
